Life's like a forest

So often we walk through the dark forest of life, not being able to see the sunlight. We walk through huge trees, that obscure our view from our desired destination, a destination with no problems, just joy! We have tears in our eyes, holding our heads in our hands , searching for light, searching for relief from the problems that engulf us.

Often, we walk through the forest, taking a path that leads in an uphill direction, feeling sluggish and weak We do not realize that these hills us stronger and wiser, to climb the next hill that comes our way in life, without much difficulty. These hills are the hills that give us wisdom to face the hills that are yet to follow. These are the hills that give us the courage to face another day.

Once we gain the confidence to accept that life is not a bed of roses, and that all problems can be solved, we wipe our tears, open our eyes, and focus on the true beauty in the forest. The beauty of Fauna and Flora that brightens up our lives. the beauty of birds, insects and a small stream running through the forest. We realise the beauty that surrounds us, that we take for granted. We then say thank you for the entire blessing bestowed upon us.

We watch the animals scampering around us. We realise the beauty of the creation. We have walked a long journey through this forest, as our skin has started to wrinkle and our hair turns grey. We now have aches and pains and face the departure lounge of life.

We reminisce of the years gone by. What a thrill it was. We find humor in our problems we once worried about. We recall all the experiences we had walking through the forest of life. We realize that it is greatly important to remain positive and to always do the best of your ability. In this way we’ll make the best decisions, rise above all negativity and survive all situations victoriously. We realise that the sun does shine through tall trees.

  1. Good comparison :) When we are in the darkest part of the forest we tend so loose hope that there light and this is when we fall and sometimes forget to stand up and continue.

  3. Very true, sometimes it seems as if everything is a dark forest and we cannot move past it but be calm - the storm will be over soon,
