A great amount of money has been spent on development of our country for our benefit.
We in essence as tax payers are paying for these changes and will effect our living standards positively while our personal living conditions become harder.
Many essential needs are being dealt with, whilst I still have a problem with major pot holes found on South Africa’s roads. We have road development programs seen on our high ways, while our most important roads found in our areas damage our cars to a great extent. Government wants nothing to do with the damage of your car, in their opinion you can go to hell by falling into that whole. I do see many holes being attended to while many are not. The that are covered do not last very long. They seem to develop holes again, not long after. I tend to wonder what standards we are setting or if we are using quality to receive quality. We then end up paying double for council workers coming around twice to attend to a problem which should have been solved first time around.
I find many intersections have poor road markings, as well as poorly allocated signs.
I have seen and heard of many accidents being caused due to this, though still limited input is being done. The winter days are coming and soon visibility will decrease. It is important that our roads are better, to decrease our accident rate.
I look at many great things being done in and around the city that makes me proud to be part of Cape Town, while there are many aspects that should be brought to light to improve our situations and improve our future.

So true hey, seems everything is being done for 2010 - making everything perfect but what about the conditions of our roads.
