Feelings follow behavior
Our emotions determine the people we are, it controls the manner in which we deal with people and present ourselves to them. Our body language paints pictures to others and tells the story of who we are and where we come from. This action can be seen as pride. People show pride in many ways, the manner in which they speak and the technique in which they handle various situations. We see this in many business situations, whereby feelings from home influences business decisions and behavior of people at work.
People surmise the type of person you are via your feelings and actions. It is important that we take Emotional Intelligence into consideration as we need to be aware in handling ourselves and others. People show sympathy towards your feeling, thus the outcome is an action. It is important to show your feelings to people as your behavior proves to them that you take their ideas and feelings into consideration, thus making them feel better and secure in your presence as you are able to support them. Writers exaggerate and use exclamation marks to add emphasis on their writing. This is to encourage what they are feeling and to paint a vivid picture to the reader. The reader then understands exactly what the writer explains.
It works on exactly the same principle in person. We need to express what we feel, so that people do not confuse our ideas or beliefs and misunderstand us. It is important to develop and manage the correct image of the type of person you are, as your feelings could sometimes influence your behavior negatively, and your credibility and reputation affected.
It is better to practice a little than to talk allot
Practicing a little would give you proportional knowledge within the industry, not necessarily becoming an expert but knowing enough to develop you own thoughts and thinking, becoming the person people would come to for advice. People would see you as a humble person while also knowledgeable. We see it in many situations whereby people tend to sell themselves incorrectly at interviews and find them not competent for the job. This lack of competency leads to embarrassment and a negative reputation on you as a person and the people involved. Not being comfortable enough to practice what you preach could be incredibly dangerous as you would not be able to back statements and arguments made, making yourself look like a complete idiot. People make statements in the media that affect their image negatively. Saying too much could cause confusion while remaining practical and to the point could solve many issues.
A famous man who has been consistent in the media once said, “I will never commit suicide, I will rather kill myself first”. This man should have not said as much as he has but rather practicing what he says. If you make a statement with confidence, people will always wonder if you are capable of doing it or if you have done it, and seen as an expert in the field.
It is better to practice a little than to talk allot, as practicing would guarantee some form of information while talking a lot does not benefit you nor others around.

Pot holes to hell
We in essence as tax payers are paying for these changes and will effect our living standards positively while our personal living conditions become harder.
Many essential needs are being dealt with, whilst I still have a problem with major pot holes found on South Africa’s roads. We have road development programs seen on our high ways, while our most important roads found in our areas damage our cars to a great extent. Government wants nothing to do with the damage of your car, in their opinion you can go to hell by falling into that whole. I do see many holes being attended to while many are not. The that are covered do not last very long. They seem to develop holes again, not long after. I tend to wonder what standards we are setting or if we are using quality to receive quality. We then end up paying double for council workers coming around twice to attend to a problem which should have been solved first time around.
I find many intersections have poor road markings, as well as poorly allocated signs.
I have seen and heard of many accidents being caused due to this, though still limited input is being done. The winter days are coming and soon visibility will decrease. It is important that our roads are better, to decrease our accident rate.
I look at many great things being done in and around the city that makes me proud to be part of Cape Town, while there are many aspects that should be brought to light to improve our situations and improve our future.
New discoveries
At first it seems horrible, while the challenge drives us to want to taste sweet victory. It is always interesting to see how we develop as humans learning daily and developing ourselves. I always urge people to take part in new activities as it may seem horrible and hard in the beginning but certainly a learning experience and worth the laugh after the stress. It is a great deal of excitement and boosts the spirit of individuals.
Our behaviour encourages others to do the same. It is an example others of what joy it is to experience a new discovery. These experiences are of enormous importance to me as they develop us as individuals. These experiences make us unique to the next person.
It is always rewarding to know extra information and being able to guide people through your experience.
My advice is to keep developing yourself and do not be afraid to try new activities as all activities has a greater impact on our lives. We may not see it at present while it will be beneficial in the future.

Winter Is Near
I have seen many pulling this look off with a shorts and soccer socks; if that prevents illness then I should try it too.
It’s the time of year when I feel most uncomfortable sitting next to or even being close to people who are sick. I keep my vitamin cross to point it at the flu infested Dracula’s. It is interesting how I would try to prevent it, when not even a day later I will become sick. Its amazing to observe this every year and know that I am going to be sick. Strangely enough, it always knows to get me before I decide on any injection or anti flu mechanism. Where is the Cape Doctor when you need him, he helps everybody but me. I guess we would have more people turning into pigs if it wasn’t for him, due to swine flue.
Your best bet is to keep warm, keep eating healthy and eating grandmas veggies and fruits. Instead of buying you a bubbly drink, juice would be a good replacement. Keep healthy, no one enjoys getting sick, unless they have sufficient sick days and hate their job. Also remember the old saying, “an apple a day, keeps the doctor away”. So some good advice is to eat your apples, red or green they will keep you healthy and happy.
Wedding Cake in the middle of the road
This was the day the country would marry peace and all nations become one. The wedding cake was colourful, bright carrying the colours of the South African flag. The Cake was in the middle of the road ready to be cut to feed the hungry and to turn poverty to riches. It was believed that thus cake was a magical cake. It was a cake that would bring individuals great luck. Everybody stood around anxious waiting for the cake to be cut. The music played on, with the streets decorated and cars hooting, taking part in the theme, South Africa becoming one, marring peace, love and a greater future. It was the president who came up with more than one wife, as we could all think of one word to describe the above. Everybody new he liked to have more than one.
The wedding cake stood firmly like a soldier in the road. It was surely a memorable image and a day that all South Africans can be proud of. The council truck lifted the mayor with elevator, while the mayor released the top section of the cake. Each section would cover the people at the meeting. The wedding cake was massive but had it been enough? Greedy people forced and pushed to get the cake. The cake was the centre of the attention. All of sudden it started to wobble, and then I herd screaming and over toppled the cake. The wedding cake in the middle of the road now became a wedding mess in the middle of the road.
This cake had a purpose to fulfil; it was to bring the rainbow nation together.
The cake signifies that we are one as people while the falling of the cake made us one, with no difference.

Our country
What a beautiful country we live in. We have a country with a rainbow nation, a country with various minerals, a country who has an icon like ex president like Nelson Mandela.
Yet still so many problems causing unpleasantness in our country.
The high unemployment rate that has caused people to lose their homes is extremely sad. This then leads many, to a life of crime, which causes many of our professionals to emigrate. Students are stabbing and killing each other at high schools.
Winter is fast approaching, and we have so many people poor people living in shacks. The poorer communities will also go to bed with empty stomachs. The food prices affect everyone in our country, and last but not least, the drug problem that has torn our communities apart.
What can we do? How can we rid our country from all these setbacks? Some people blame others and believe that religious instruction should be brought back. Many feel that corporal punishment should be brought back into our schools.
Whatever the reason, South Africa is still a beautiful country, but we need to stand together. We need to play our part in making South Africa a safer, happier country to live in. We need to act. We need to act now!
It is not a good idea to lie to yourself
Liars must have a good memory, because one lie leads to the next, and to the next. So often people speak about the lie that has been told to them., because you sound convincing.
It is of the utmost importance that the person telling the lie tells the lie in such a manner that those listening find the lie truthful, hilarious, exciting or even sad. Liars seem to have those techniques. You are actually lying to yourself, and as the saying goes: “Lying through your teeth”. You convince yourself to believe your lies. Some people live a life of lies, but unknown to them, those listening to them sooner or later discover that they are living in a world of fantasy, and telling lies in order to be popular, feel great or boost their image. When the truth is revealed, that they are actually liars, they lose the credibility they once had.
Lying to yourself brings negativity from all angles as the realities of situations are not addressed. You are not fooling any body but yourself. Your reputation is at stake and whatever you tell people, they would, “take it with a pinch of salt”. People will see you as one that cannot be believed, however when you do tell the truth they would not believe you either, due to your bad track record. Many people have paid a terrible price for the lies they have told so lying to yourself can also be a dangerous hobby.
You find people who call it “white lies” while a lie remains a lie and under no circumstances can it be justified. Lying to yourself is a serious, and as the saying goes: “the truth will be revealed”. Let us not be liars as we would like to be a cut above the rest, but rather truthful and gain respect for it.
