While walking along the beach at Blouberg Strand, admiring the girls in their bikinis and watching the children enjoying themselves with their buckets and spades building sand castles, I suddenly felt a thud on my head. I was knocked onto the sand. I laid there, too scared to turn or twist, “what was that” I thought.
I eventually turned my head. What could have hit me? Did someone throw something at me? Why would they do such a thing?
I slowly turned my head to the right. There was no sign of any thing that could have been thrown at me. I turned my head to the left. To my surprise I saw a slimy wet fish. I jumped up angered with the thought of someone throwing me with a fish.
I looked around and herd people laughing. A bird had picked the fish up but on its way to the nest the fish had fallen from its mouth onto my head. “What a fishy tale” I muttered and continued walking on the beach.
