The sound of one hand clapping

The people of the village knew that the time had come. The time has arrived when they feel the burning sensation in their hearts. The sound of the one hand clapping states that this period is a time of encouragement and happiness.

The one hand clapped from the break of dawn, wakening people with joy and happiness. The one hand claps loudly, and echoes through the ears of the young. It vibrates through the ears of the older folk, and pumps sound from the drum of life to the people. The drum of life is beaten, giving happiness which the sound brings. The music releases the souls and minds of villages and their spirits are uplifted. As Shakespeare wrote: “If music be the food of life, play on”. The villagers find it extremely amazing, how the one handed man managers to find the energy to beat the drum with his one hand, for such long periods of time. Its all about praise and happiness that makes the man beat his drum with one hand and calls on the villagers to rejoice with him. He beats his drum, while others may come with their instruments and play along with him.

It’s absolutely amazing how one hand can make a difference. Music is life. WE are the music and our hearts are the one hand that beats a tune for others to follow. May the tune we play be a worthwhile tune for others to follow. Play an early morning tune each day. It could bring happiness to someone’s week.

Her name was Kitty

I have a black cat named Kitty. Mt cat Kitty, was rescued from a dangerous, dark, wet night, and adopted in a home that gave it warmth and love. We love Kitty a great deal, yet Kitty does not care much about us. Like any other ordinary cat, Kitty enjoys being stroked and held in our arms. Other than that Kitty has no interest in life except eating her food and sleeping in her basket.

Kitty’s a hustler who will only love you and rub up against you, when you are preparing her food, or when you are busy with food. Once Kitty has been fed, she walks away and gives herself a good wash, before she’s into her basket, to her nap. Kitty really has a good life. All she does is lie in the sun, watch out for action, and catch a bird which is once in a blue moon when she does catch a bird she is so proud of her trophy, that she purrs at the top of her voice to get into the house, to show off her achievement. Kitty and our dog are best friends, so I can safely say that not all cats and dogs fight. Kitty is an extremely intelligent cat that can hold a conversation with us. If ask Kitty how she is, or great her at any time she will meow. I sometimes wonder of all black cats are like Salem from Sabrina.

I love Kitty to bits even though she has her moments, although she uses our home as the holiday Inn, she has a special place in our hearts, and we know she feels the same about us.

Keep Smiling

It’s funny just what a smile can do. A smile allows you to release your fears, to trust people, a smile brings you joy, hope and lifts your spirits when your feeling down.

It is important to always smile and remain positive. Your smile has a major impact on someone else’s life, while your attitude determines theirs. Have a great smile on your face when answering the telephone, as people on the other side can sense and hear your attitudes towards them. This sets the tone of the conversation.

A smile lifts your spirits. It helps you develop the strength and courage you need to face fears and problems in our lives. A smile helps you to deal with situations, and others to find hope in your smile. Your smile could bring out the best in others, and their smile could be the smile that makes your day.

When you are sad and serious, less luck and positive attractions lead to you. When you are grumpy, your feelings and views rub off on others creating a negative situation. Try to remain positive and motivate those around you, be the example that people will always be pleased to see and want to be around.

Help me fight the war against sadness and hatred, whereby we don’t pull out guns but bazooka smiles, like cupid shooting love through the hearts of the world.
If all of us smiled the world would be a much better place, more love and less war.

Not all who wander are lost…

The greatest people who were curious and wandered about exceptional inventions that shaped our lives in a mighty way. These amazing people with their brilliant thoughts of brought us where the world is today.

People such as Albert Einstein, the Wright brothers, Thomas Edison and Alexandra Bell all impacted on the world through their thoughts and deeds. Through their achievements, our lives have been made easier, while without their contribution to human development we would have not have achieved much and would be lost. Those who are lost do not wander and do not have the desire to be curious. Those who are lost have no sense of direction. Those who are lost have no directed thought thus leading to a blank facial expression of: What’s next. Those who wander in the sense of a day dream are actually visualizing ideas pumping through their mind. These ideas raise questions and cause curiosity. In this manner they are able to always find themselves, through create thinking and wandering, and always having the question in their minds: Why? On the other hand those who are lost do not question anything as they are without direction. They lack drive, and have no inquisitive thoughts to follow. There is no excitement or eagerness in any construction process to lead them.

Those who wander are not always lost, they day dream and seem lost in their own world. They do not focus and seem as if they do not follow, when in fact greater thoughts are circulating in the head of the wanderer. These greater thoughts lead to distraction and throw them off course with reality, leading to some wanderers not entirely understanding, and being out of touch with life.

The way you balance your time is of the utmost importance. If your time is well balanced, you will be filled with energy, and enjoy being in class, showing interest in what the lecturer is explaining, and not day dreaming. You will not find yourself lost. Your thoughts would be constructive and these constructive thoughts, would lead to good questions. You would have a good idea of what the lecture was all about and would certainly not be lost in class.

Women Abuse

The abuse of women is prevalent in our society. Daily we read in the media, of women being fatally shot by jealous husbands, or boyfriends. Daily we read of women being beaten or ill-treated. Women are raped on a daily basis. Some men have lost their respect for women. They should be removed from society.

Women are the back–bone of society. They have slaved in the Apartheid era. They have slaved to make our land with its Rainbow Nation, a democratic country.

Women are being abused financially, physically, verbally, and emotionally. Some women endure this treatment because they have children, and have no other place to stay.
All women need to wake up and realize that they need not allow their husbands to abuse them. Women need to unite against this. A start could be by getting an interdict against them, and if they continue, put them behind bars. Surely, that is where they belong.

They have put fear into women and children. Don’t let abuse continue. Do something now!

How do you step from the top of a 100-foot pole?

In any activity desired to be completed by a human, a key element of successfully completing, is belief.

It is of great importance to believe in what we do, and to do it with a passion. This makes the job of fulfilling the tasks much easier. In many instances, a challenge can be seen as difficult or impossible, depending on how it is viewed. You could not step from the top of a 100 –foot pole in an upright position, unless we were “Inspector Gadget”. However if you look at the challenge from a horizontal view, it would seem to be much easier to step from the top of a 100-foot pole, with ease and without getting hurt. The way you analyze and handle your challenges is how easy it would be to solve. Once we evaluate our situation, we realize that we can develop a system to come out of the situation victoriously. The system we use should be one, that we feel comfortable with and one that we are confident with.

It would be easy to step from a 100-foot pole, once we have discovered solutions to this challenge. We should have all the resources to complete the task.
